We are living in times where its necessary to have knowledge of everything that’s going all around the world and in the era of technology people all over the world have smart phones which connect them to rest of the world. This outburst of knowledge through different applications in smart phones, when on one hand has proven to be helpful, on the other hand it has generated a lot of chaos and restlessness in terms that so many unnecessary opinions have surfaced which are not just irrelevant but also make no sense. It’s more like social media has provided people with a platform where they can vent out or let their frustration out. This also leads me to think that may be the world is progressing in terms of knowledge but is still lacking in terms of education and moral conduct. Moreover, I think that the glamorous lifestyles of celebrities on social media have also generated a lot of turmoil among people in a way that they have started feeling an absence of peace because they think that they have to own something the other person or other celebrity possess, which may lead to anxiety and inferiority complex. Social media has its benefits and they can’t be ignored but there’s a darker side to it as well and we as a society need to work on it.
